Put on your "galoshes". It's an excellent opportunity to make sure that your irrigation ditches run the correct direction.

Well I did get the soda cans all crushed. I ended up with 2 lawn size trash bags full of crushed cans. Which makes a full truck load to sell now so yahoo! Today was not a waste.

Lmao Junkmanme I gotta hand it to ya. You are ALWAYS on top of things. Rain or shine. We did get owned pretty hard the other day by that storm in Texas. I plant on the side of a hill, so I did make sure my drainage ditches ran well, and everything. I'll post picts pretty soon, today Im going to get all my supplies to finish my Irrigation and greenhouse. Glad I didn't have a greenhouse cover on it already, it would have been torn to shreds, our other metal car-port was all dented up because of winds and braches.

on the way home from the back doc, I stopped to by groceries. They had non-patented hybrid tea roses for 4.99, big hefty canes. I restrained myself and only bought 3. They are lined up with several pots and flats that DH bought, not to mention the bushel basket sized container of garden seeds, the trays and trays of cut-off soda bottles filled with plants, all waiting for the pain to subside enough for me to promptly over do it again!

Yesterday's p/l survey showed I have MORE garden space on the one side than I previously thought. Gonna need it. Now, I'm icing the neck, shoulder and back for half an hour, then going out and planting the bed that has the elderberry and fig already. Then mow. Everything else is gravy today. Including making dinner.

I am so excited! I got so much done yesterday working in the garden. I got the secound raised bed done and filled. Got the black mat down for the watermellon plants down and secure. redug the drainage ditch by the garden, and put up tripods for the peaplants. Then ran the 200ft hose down to the garden from the spout. My back is killing me and my blisters are now turning into calouses on my hands. Yet I am loving every minute of this spring working outside. Just can't wait until the kids are out of school so I can have more helping hands! Oh and I started about 100 more seeds in the planters yesterday too. Trying to get a jump on the dry summer that is for sure to come this year.

Yup, love every bone deep achy minute of it. Just came in for lunch and coffee. Got 6 row x 25 ft block of Jackpot sweet corn planted. going to try staggering blocks this size about 2 weeks apart of varieties (HOW did I end up with six different ones???). Since the last two blocks are four and six weeks from now, I'm thinking to block plant bush beans for canning and freezing. Or just tilling under for green manure. Anyone actually do this? I've read about that, and wonder how that really works.

Now There's an oxymoron!!!!!! True "restraint" would have been not buying any, nada, zero, none. Of course, if you're like me, then you'd just blow up. Oh well, it keeps us out of trouble I suppose.

I'll share my gardening saying with you: "If it doesn't kill you, it makes you stronger.........but usually it kills you."

HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!
