((Serious Gardening))

I threw a handful of layer pellets in all my tomato plant holes this year. They are 6ft+ plus now and bearing nicely. No end blossom rot. I just fertilized them for the first time a few days ago lol. We have terrible sandy soil here full of nematoads..
That sounds like a great idea.

I've never seen those on mine, but they sure are pretty! Up here, there hasn't been many insects interested in eggplant. If you move him, is there one of those holes that are on the rest of the leaf left under his head?

No but the plants that have the most holes are the ones w/ those on them. I assumed based on that they were bad, but didn't want to continue to kill them if they weren't the culprits, and maybe just eating whoever was eating my eggplant.

Thought I'd post a few pics from yesterday in the garden

One of several zuchs getting close to ready to harvest.

a sweet potato

Cukes and a large zuch. also planted in this garden area are okra, melons, lettuce, rattail radish, asparagus

one of the little cukes on the vine

in this bed are bell pepper, tomatoes, basil, borage, marigold, bush beans, sweet potatoes

This bed is going crazy, it is tomatoes, peppers (hot) squash, marigold, watermelon, sunflower, beans, borage, sweet potato (and weeds)

one of the pear toms up close

rattail podding radish, supose to confuse the cuke beetle and be edible. It is edible, but I like the flavor of the seed pods of the regular radish better. Either way I think the radish pods taste better then the root.

I am soooooooooooo proud of this, I have never got good bell peppers ever!!!!

bush beans

marigold

bush bean

my newly planted fig tree (this spring) w/ figs already!!!!

Sorry for so many pics, but this was weeded way down from what I took and posted on FB.

I am really proud of my garden this year, Started all my 'maters from seed, and they are doing great! I am not as far along as some, but I did it myself!

I'm so jealous, I'll have to look at all these pictures and live vicariously.

We were told to remove all personal belongings off our balcony's for construction.... For now all I've been able to do is move them to the side of the building for the survey stage. If they find defects to fix.... there will be no greenery this year at the concrete box. All the effort and tending from February... just to be given a notice of construction in May.
