I had one silkie egg left in the bator from my favorite silkie that died 2 wks ago. I didn't realize that lockdown was supposed to be Sat (04/03). The egg did not go into lockdown until this am. Hubby said when he moved the egg from the incubator to the hatcher, he could here the chick chirping. Humidity is now cranked up, but the egg has been in the turner until this morning. He laid the egg on it's side in the hatcher. I've done EVERYTHING wrong!! I even candled this egg yesterday when it was supposed to be in lockdown. What are the chances this chick is gonna make it????

If its still alive now, then Id say pretty good! What day is it on now? Just keep an eye on it and Only Help if absolutely nessecery! Sounds like a stromg one so far!!!

Good Luck and God Bless!

Ive seen them hatch in the turner! Should be ok!

you might also try laying the egg ontop of a damp rag to help improve humidity.

Just a thought!

Good luck and God Bless!

Today is day 20. The air cell was pretty big when I candled yesterday, so I'm really hoping the chicks gonna be ok. Humidity holds great in the hatcher, so i'm hoping that helps. I can't BELIEVE I did this. I'm usually counting down the days until lockdown!! Thanks for your reply. I'll let ya'll know how is goes.
