Seriously, how cold is too cold?

What great info!! With all that's been said, at what point do you not allow them to take bath? It been a little over a week and I know they are wanting a bath.....real bad! The Miss' tried to take one in her heated water bowl and well that was a frozen mess temps are going to get warmer over the next couple of days......so my question really is at what temperature do you absolutely make sure they don't get wet?

I haven't found one. My ducks were splashing in water at 0*F today... they had ice all over their chests a bit later. They preen it off.

If they haven't had a bath in a while, be careful. They might be un-waterproofed.

A few days to a week, in my experience, which admittedly isn't much.

Thanks! I didn't realize that, regardless bath time will happen a lot more then here lately. I will also watch them today and make sure all goes smoothly

Hmmm....My Ducks use rubber livestock bowls all winter and bath up daily..No one freezes to death and I'm in Alberta, Canada and more North ...Too much worry about nothing.

Also Ducks take water into their Bills and oil up if bath water is not provided..Provide bath water..Remember they are water proof so won't freeze...

I'm not worrying, just curious. You guys have all been doing this for years compared to the 7 months I've been doing this

For me, too cold is when the ducks are not thriving. When they walk stiff-legged, hold their necks in, stop laying if they have been (for my Runners temperature matters more than light), shiver, have a faraway stare.
