Seriously Injured bird?

I got a quarter sized exposed head wound on a hen and a broken foot due to a rooster. The wound is black around the edge and I can see her skull. If I disinfectant the wound will she recover and what should I do about her foot? Should I just put her down? she's one of my fav's but I don't want her to suffer needlessly.

If the rooster is the culprit, how does he treat the other hens and how many hens do you have?
A picture of your set up might help as well.

I've put vetericyn on both those spots where she was visiblely wounded.

Okay. Try washing it with warm water, (no soap) and gently patting it dry.
