Hey hun, good luck on your other eggs. Have you got your incubater stable now or is it still a bit iffy?I will put more in, Tuesday or Wedensday if I see nothing in the other eggs. But the silkie will be going in the silkie pen that can maybe fit 2 more. The silkie will be more of a pet than any of my other chickens and I plan on having the brooder in my room, and the silkie with me whenever I am home and when I am not home I will give it a stuffed animal or something as it will HAVE to go in with my other two silkies. Unless it turns out to be a roo which I pray it doesn't then he will have his own pen as my other silkie roo doesn't take kindly to strangers. I can't put it in with my other hens as they are to mean. My other plan is if I put in more eggs I may give it one friend and they share a coop together, which may be the best plan. I am nervous about having two seperate hatches, especially since I am having trouble with just one! So will have to see what happens. My plan for this hen/roo please pray that it will be a hen is I really want to see about pet therapy. So as a chick I will have it with me around the house, and as it grows will learn to wear a harness and diaper and train it be good with people. So I am praying it will have the temperment needed to do that. and from what I hear about silkies they are generally friendly and good with people. So am hoping.
