For the most part it was around 100. It spiked and fell several times because it is a still air incubator and we do not have an auto turner. Last night when we added water and then this morning it was at 102. I think it stayed there all night, but that was the highest it has been other than 1 spike to 104, for less than an hour. We could not get it to come down and figured it was stable, so it should be okay.
I set eggs as well. We have a Rhode Island Red rooster in with a Barred Rock, Silver Laced Wyandotte, 2 California Whites, and a White Leghorn. So I have eggs out of that pen set in the incubator.
They're mixed...dad was a Buff Orpington roo, and moms were lots of different kinds of hens. All the chicks are blond, and the tiniest one has feathered feet!
I have 2 more pipped. One of them pipped last night and appears to be struggling? Several chips of shell have fallen off, but it doesn't appear to have broken through the membrane. I'm worried for the little guy. Most of the remaining eggs came from a different farm. The dad is a crazy looking polish roo, and the hens were mixed between barred rock and golden comet. Should be interesting!
