Does anyone know how to color baby ducks and chicks?? I have heard of it but didn't know if it was true.
I've wondered the same thing. I saw someone had them colored while they were still in the shell so when they hatched they knew what was what. How cool would that be?
Here is one http://www.poultryhelp.com/coloringchicks.html
It is illegal to sell them in some states though as a novelty.
I saw a breeder who colored the chicks during incubation and then when they hatched you knew which breeder it was from. It was really neat because they had a picture of the hatchling coming out of the shell and it was like a bright pink or something crazy like that. I would like it for that reason, not to try to sell them. Nifty idea for separation.
So what do I look for in duck eggs at the different stages?
