SET EGGS JUNE 23 ANYONE WITH ME?

Thanks aarissilkiesmooth and roxannemc...I was thinking it was a goner...I went ahead and locked them all down today though...no one is stinky and I'm hoping for a miracle of at least one! If not, I'll be on the lookout for some more eggs!
YEP just like me..keep plugging away!!
I just have 3 so i gotta be REALLY lucky here to get all 3 or even 2...so much can go wrong..
i smell mine no stink and if they arent totally clear I kept them.(Maybe i wont if one blows up on me.)
Did you see the piece on floating them to tell ? WArm water 99 degrees, water higher than the egg is deep .Put them in.
If it sinks its bad,
if it floats really high bad,
if it floats 1/3 or so out of the water =good.
If it wiggles really good!!
Dry the good ones off gently and put back inbator..
Sounded good but later someone said it doesnt always work and if you think one is gonner before you dump it or break it open to first take a tiny chip out of the air cell end and see if its alive or dead first
.Of course if you open a chip and it smells then it IS a gonner,
Better than killing a live chick though.

Floating.... all this AFTER you pass day 23 and no hatch.

yes, I am going to float them this weekend if no one hatches...if nothing else maybe it'll save one I figure is dead? :)

I threw in a 3rd thermometer...my digital an te 3rd are reading 98 and the funky one is still reading 100-101. It feels weird to use the other two thermometers when I've been relying in this one stupid one the entire hatch.
I just stepped out to lunch and everything seemed stable. Please cross fingers that nothing spikes while I'm out.

Everything looks good. All three thermometers are reading 98-99 and that one wonky one is still reading 101. It's just so weird that it just started acting up today! I guess that's Murphy's Law for you though.

I guess it's all just a waiting game from here on out. I'm considering being naughty and candling the eggs again tonight, I wanted to move all the eggs to be facing the same [x or O] so that I can tell when somebody starts moving. I also want to listen for chirps, even though 18 days may still be early...

And with all the temperature fluctuations today, I'll candle, fill the water rings and then stabilize to a full on [not allowed to touch anything] lock down tonight then.

Still kind of peeved about the thermometer though. lol.

I get home and my temperatures are all over the place. I have two thermometers that have different temps and I did add another one and it gave a different temp. Reset the digital one and it is close to one of the others. Hope it did not mess up my 10 baby chicks since i still seen movement in them last night when I went on lockdown a day early. Guess I needed to wait after all.

I would go with the 2 that are closest together. Praying babies are ok.

This is all very close to birthing actual children, isn't it? Worrying over every little thing, planning, watching, having break downs over worst case scenarios. Ha. Ha. Ha.

May our temperatures not fluctuate, and our hatches be bountiful! Good luck everyone.

I hope some of you are on Friday night EST, I'm literally going to be climbing the walls waiting for the hatch!

We just lost power :/ It came back on but after checking the aviation weather site, there are some really really bad storms about to hit us...considering that it's not even raining and we've already lost power once, I'm starting to freak out a little bit.

What the eff do you do with your locked down incubator if the power goes out?
