SET EGGS JUNE 23 ANYONE WITH ME?

Now I hope I don't hear peeps until Thursday after I get home from working out of town that day. Dear husband is lost when it comes to my eggs hatching , and he still has not built my brooder guess we will have to use a tote until he does get it done

I'm going to attempt a nap. My kids can't sleep. They think that just because we've heard peeping means they're hatching in a little while. Mommy needs her rest.

Day 19...no peep or movment yet I am worried my egg willll fall over as i have them standing up in the little ringis left from cutting the egg carton.I put rags around them in case but i they fall crooked thry could miss the rag.Wish i would have left the carton holes taller.Think i should open it and put higher egg carton things in?

UPDATE!!!

At 4:30AM, Nothing

6:30 AM: 2 pips & A LOT of chirping

8:30 AM: 4 pips & no chirping.

Bantam surprise eggs are soooo tiny, but they were the 1st to pip. Golden Polish piped next. Now, hopefully my Jersey Giants and Silkies will get with the program.

Can't get humidity past 66% even with sponge in there. Having trouble even with hose and baster getting sponge wet. The hose keeps going all over the place. I'm afraid of getting the eggs wet.

I'm at 65 right now and that's with the water rings filled and TWO bowls of water. I didn't realize that the outside humidity would affect my incubator inside [the only thing I can come up with is that it's very low humidity outside today and 2 days ago when the same amount of water I'm using now was in there my humidity was at <90%]

Roxanne if you set on 23rd isn't today your day 18?? I set on 24th and now I am confused, (not hard to do LOL)

Maybe try cotton balls? I have a few in my bator between eggs so they can't roll too close to the light. First timer here though so don't go by my know how! I thought though that it may be a convenient way to bring humidity up by dropping drips of water on the cotton balls? Maybe? lol my eggs are on day 11. I candled just one last night and could see veins pulsing. Very exciting!

Something i forgot last time..they say its the SURFACE water that raises the humidity so more SURFACE water if you can will work better than a deep sponge.or so iread.Seemd to worjk wit hme last timne too,. sponge didnt work addign more to the shallow tray did.
