Set Eggs this evening

Lady in REd-- Chookschick's info on incubating is what I tried to follow too! She's helpful with questions. She gave me the faith to try incubation. My guys have 9 more days. Good luck! Did you lower the temp or just increase the humidity?

Just increseing the humidity since mine is a large cabinet incubator. I'll snap some photo's of it tonight.

i have pips! they are a day early! now i can't drag myself away from the the bator window.

Lost all the eggs in the incubator. Apparently no one thought it important to tell me that the door got knocked open for a few hours a couple days ago until this morning. I have four surviveing eggs under my broody hen. Maybe they will actually hatch. With my current luck. they wont.

ladyinred, im so sorry for your loss, it happens to everyone, ive had my share of no hatches, atleast u still have some working!

lady in red-- sorry for the loss! I dropped an egg the other day, I was horrified to see the well formed chick; on a turkey post a fellow dropped a whole trayof eggs, 72 scrambled eggs. Unfortuanately, sugar honey ice tea happens to all of us.

Could the cooler temperatures have delayed their hatching?

so sorry to hear that lady in red.

We all have bad hatches my last one was very sad with 9 chicks dead in the shell - perfectly formed but didn't pip. sometimes it just doesn't work.

I have a hatch in full swing just now with 13 out and 5 more pipped.
