...maybe you should give the few you're not sure of a few more days, it can't hurt right. Whatever you decide will be the right choice though for you. I hope we can keep in touch and if you start a new batch, let us know too.

The eggs are still in the bator...But..i'm pretty sure they're done tho... I keep turnnig and adding water. I'm getting the new eggs the 18-19th...so will probably set them the 20th...

Melinda,
I'll definitely keep all posted. So far, all 7 of 7 are swimming like crazy. It's getting a bit harder to see them the bigger they get. I'm going to candle again tonight (have to admit, I have a hard time leaving them alone:gig), day 14 today with lock down on wed. (I set mine on the 22nd) I want to check their air sacs with the diagram to see if I'm close. I'll take some more pics and post them when I'm done.

How about everyone else...how's it going in all the other incubators?

I just candled every egg in my incubator and I am very happy. They are all showing good signs. I have 3 due the 9th, 29due the 11th, 4 due the 15th, and 3 due the 20th. That is not counting the 17 I hatched last moneth. I think my DW is gonna kill me but it is worth it....lol.

Just remind her before she does you in that she will have to take care of the babies after you're gone! LOL

They may be easier to take care of the putting up with me, But I will try that.

Here's the pics I promised. I candled all the eggs tonight and they're all still moving

I'm a little worried with the #6 egg...it seems really light where as all the other eggs are filling up and becoming really dark as the chicks grow. I'm also worried my air sacs aren't large enough. My humidity was up around 45-50% for about 3 days and now it's back down to 35%...no more water I think unless it falls into the 20%'s. Again, this is my first time so if anyone can chime in on how these pics look (although not that great of pics due to the camera/blurry) I would greatly appreciate it.

Hard to see, but I think the air sacs could be a little larger...

This is the one I'm most worried about-#6. The egg seems a lot lighter and more porous...

This is my favorite and the one I really have my hopes set on, it's from our RIR/RIR...

Also, I tried to do a video but it didn't upload to my computer right (it plays on the camera) plus, I don't know how to upload videos to BYC

Best of luck everyone....Rachel

Lockdown tonight. 7 eggs are in the incubator for hatch and they all had good air cells. 2 Silkies and 5 Bantam Cochins have made it to the final round.

Did I mention this was my first time using an incubator? My LG has been working like a champ. I put a little more into it than I was expecting to this hatch, but if I get 7 little chicks to hatch out on Wednesday and Thursday it will all be worth it. Especially the 5 chicks out of my own hens. Good Luck everyone, I'll post pics when the day and time arrive.
