I posted pics of my fuzzy butts on my BYC page under Easter Eggers. https://www.backyardchickens.com/web/viewblog.php?id=24928-easter-eggers
And, the latest is there are 9. One hatched today at about 1:30 PM, over 24 hours after the others. Amazing. Its another black one. Put him in with the others after I cleaned the brooder and he is holding his own against the older ones. Drinking and eating right away. 3 more eggs in the bator. Leaving them one more day just in case....
I'm so glad you stuck with it, so worth all the stress. They are all just too cute!!!!
Nothing here at all....not sure what to do now. I'm going out to dinner here in a few hours, maybe when I get home if I don't see anything I'll open it quick and candle one. I'm really bummed out, I just want to cry literally
The black one is the Silkie. The others are blue splash and one blue I think. It's funny because the father is a blue splash and the mother is a buff. I did an eggtopy on the one that didn't hatch and found a nearly completely formed chick. (I took pictures if anyone is interested) I'm not sure why this one went 90+% and still didn't make it, but out of a dozen that had only two hatch I'm pretty sure I know the reason. All of the eggs were from a silent auction at the Northeastern Poultry Congress Show. Some people can be very petty when it comes to their lines.
Hallelujah, Hallelujah....Came home from dinner to my #4 egg pipped, I can't believe it!!!!!
After doing the happy dance with my 2 and 4 year old,
I tried to settle down and read them a story, only made it about 7 min into the book and had to run back to check only to find ANOTHER pip in the #2 egg AND we could hear peeping!!!!! This is so exciting, I can't contain myself, you should see the smile on my face right now. After about 2 more hours now my #7 egg (pure RIR) is starting...it's like popcorn in my incubator right now, guess 23 is my lucky number, hahaha. I really want to thank you for all your support and advice, I really thought they were all gonners, but you all encouraged me to keep going and NOT to touch, so glad I waited. Here's a pic of the pips and hopefully they'll make it and I'll have more pics of fluffy butts for everyone.

#2 egg, if we had just waited less than 7 minutes we would have seen this one start, oh well

I can imagine what you're going through, b/c that's how I felt through this whole process....thinking that there's was nothing.... You, at least saw something... even at lockdown...! I hope they're just taking their lil sweet time and you get a nice surprise...

i'm sorry to hear about the rest of your silkies... But love the blue color cochins... I should get a pic of my blue girls (bantiy cochins)... very pretty and a lot smaller than the boys, they're black (little bowling balls!) LOL
Mine are 5 months old and no eggs yet... I've got them in with my 3 silkies.
I've gotta say, I've got very expensive taste...LOL with only 3 eggs haching out of 7 Welsummers...(NONE) and a doz SLW...
i'm going to try again and this will probably be my last time this yr... i've got some Bobbie Porto silkies coming and some Rose Comb RIR...

love your pics, nice colors on the eggs too. Do you think that yellow one will be a white one? All of mine were that chipmunk-y color when they were little. Yours did very well...

I'm so glad to see you all are hatching so well. Congrats to all and keep the pics coming.
Still 3 eggs in the bator at day 23. I doubt if they will hatch now. 75% is a great hatch. Now what will I do with 9 chicks, LOL.
Melinda - the yellow one may be all white or close to it. Of my Wyandottes, the most yellow one is white with a few red splashes on her back feathers and her neck has gray and white feathers, sort of columbian. She's the most feisty of my three and always has been. Everyone thought she was going to be a roo. She would chest butt all the others. The 2 that were roos were intimidated by her until they got bigger. Her comb turned red before any of the others. But she lays a egg a day, more consistent than the other two. And is top hen in the coop, of course. The chipmunky ones are getting more colorful. Some red, some brown, some gray, some black. They are so cute to watch, we spend a lot of time with "chick TV." Your silver laced ones are precious.

Melinda, WOW!!!! I've never had to be that patient in my entire life, this has been the craziest rollercoaster ever!!!! Your little ones are way too cute, love the color on them!!!! Thanks for the pictures AND all your support
Here's mine:
I have 2 that hatched this morning 840am and 910am
I have 3 more that have pipped and 2 with nothing yet. Here's some pics...
So friggen cute...they're cuddling together. Hard to tell whick head belongs to which cause they almost look like twins, lol.
The one on the left is a bit darker at the base of it's head, that's the only way I can tell the difference between the two.
Hope to be back soon with more new pics for everyone, Rachel
Well, i think I'm done...i'm pulling the rest of the eggs this AM, i don't want any to explode!!!
Not the best hatch rate...
None of my own silkies, even tho, I see Mr.T doing his thing, he must be missing.... And no Wellies hatch...I'm disappointed with that....money, down the drain...and only 3 SLW out of a doz... At least I got something....
So, now, i'm cleaning the bator for round 2....DING!!!! Getting eggs the end of this week!
