Set on 2/4...who's with me?

day 20... still just a wiggling. cant hardly stand it!! I have nothing yet under the broody too, got her place bundled up and put a heat lamp in there. Its suppose to get down to 18* tonight with wind chill, just my luck for hatch day. lets hope I have a good mama!! this is her first hatch, and she has been wonderful so far.

I left yesterday at about 2pm to go to a friend's house. I got home at 11pm and went straight to bed. Well as of this morning I'm up to 18 chicks. I still have around 10 unhatched eggs in the incubator, a few of them are pipped but I'm beginning to have my doubts on some. Today is my target hatch day so maybe they will come around. I'll post pics later on in the day when everyone is in the brooder. I am hoping for at least 20 chicks... 25 would be stellar.

Good luck everyone and I hope to see some more pics when I get back.

update: I saw an egg pip, got in the shower and when I got out TWO eggs had hatched. I'm a quick showerer, too, usually get the job done in 5 minutes. Can't believe two hatched in such a short period of time. Up to 20 chicks!

Wow congrats on all the babies!! We have just started here. It's day 20 and so far we have one pip and the rest are waiting so they can be on schedule I guess. Or at least they are waiting for someone to come wake them up and tell them it's time to get out of the egg. Too cool.

Spangled your babies are so cute. I still have some zipping and pipping going on and one that appears to need help, but past hatches tell me not or I ruin the hatch. So I'm keeping my fingers crossed

It's a little blurry but these are my new arrivals. First time hatching anything. There's 21 of these buggers in there and 10 more eggs left in my incubator. I hope all 10 hatch, these past few days have been an exciting experience. My rooster is a barred rock and my hens vary... white leghorn, RIR, buff orp, gold sex link, BR hen, easter eggers, to name a few. They aren't sex linked but it is kind of funny how they all turned out black and yellow... even with all the different breeds.

I hope more hatch so I can take more pictures.
