This one pipped very early this morning so that was well over 16 hours ago!

Haha. My one looked ready so I went to get my daughter to watch with me and it pushed out just before we got there! It took less than a minute to get her. Go little chicks!

Before I get excited.....does the tapping sound like a soft knock? One and then a space and then another?

I finally broke down and got the incubator. I set me gathered eggs in tomorrow evening (10 hopefully). and if my calculations are correct they should be hatching on the 15th, assuming they are all fertilized.

Hi ashem0! I had 24 chicks hatch in the incubator the end of June. Colombian Rock, Chantecler, Rhode Island Reds and Buff Orphington's. I have another 35 eggs set now which are due to hatch July 31. This batch are mixed breeds, all very large eggs. I want to see what kind of producers I get from them.

Did yours hatch already? How did they turn out?
