Set up my incubator again

My broody is now off her chicks and scratching with them but when ever I touch one of her babies she runs at me and flies at my and full on attacks me i want her chicks to be tame and I can not get them tame when she won't let me touch them can I stop her?

I have 6 weeks old chicks raised with a hen...Although she has never attacked me when I got close, she would call them away, I could never get close. as time went on they realized I am the bringer of great treats and now they run twords me, mind you not all the way, they stop about 2 feet away, but still, its progress

Ok but I am thinking of taking them away from her when they are 9 weeks so I can tame them and mum can go back to being a chicken

She may lose intrest by then anyways, our chicks are almost 7 weeks and Momma isnt with them as much, I have went out and she is with the other hens and the chicks are off by themselves foraging. I am glad that we intergrated them with the flock a few weeks ago. They all sleep in the coop, still with momma at night but I wonder how long that will last. I've noticed the Roo paying more attention to her and I think either she has started laying again or soon will

Mind you, I am no expert in the art of raising chickens or chicken behaviour. Although I have had hens before I have never raised them from chicks. This is all new to me and the wealth of information and knowlege I have found here is what has helped me along.. Getting ready to incubate some eggs ( Incubator will be here tomorrow) I would have never done that had it not been for this website

Do u think I could take them away at 5 or 6 weeks?

"Do u think I could take them away at 5 or 6 weeks?"

I'm limited on long term experiance but given what I know, yes, I believe you could, although the longer they stay with Mom and the flock I would think the more they will learn.... Were pulling the garden today and there was a few missed ears of corn on the stalks, The hen as I said isnt with the babies alot now and I coaxed them over while Hubby kept the large girls occupied. Had one come up and eat out of my hand..They will get used to you especially if your the main person that feeds and cares for them.

I am pretty sure I have two Easter eggers one frizzle and one silkie Pekin
