Settin chicken eggs tonight! 8-4-11

I've got 6 days left for my babies!

Oddly enough it's very easy for me to set em and forget em. I actually forgot to add more water a few days ago! But I ran in the house as soon as I remembered and added some. It wasn't too bad. We're going out of town tomorrow and sunday. Lockdown is Monday night. Due date is Thursday night.

I'll candle again tonight so I'll know how things are going before we leave.

I have one Black Rosecomb chick and two Silkie-X chicks. They're so adorable!

The remaining eggs are due Saturday. I had one stinker in there and I hope it didn't infect any of the eggs.

Still, I have babeezzzz! Fuzzy butts always make me happy!

7 americauna and 5 silkies, i started with 12 americauna and 11 silkies but most of the silkies never developed. i dont think ill buy shiped eggs again

first time and its not working out to well

I wouldn't give up on shipped eggs completely. It is pretty dang hot out and you never know how the PO handled the eggs. They may have had some newbie in there who didn't know any better and your next shipment would be better.
