I just candled all 28 eggs. 24 are looking great, 2 were clear, and 2 look like quitters.
11 more days til I see my babies!

i am starting mine tomorrow, i already have one going with staggared hatches, so ill post how many tomorrow im doing shipped eggs and some of mine i have had a lot of chicks dying during lockdown, all have been shipped eggs im trying to find out if the shipped eggs is whats causing me to loose my chicks. janie

Mine should hatch a week from today (03/31/11), right becuase I put them in on 03/09 in the evening.

just set 21 eggs

My humidity is at 55, is that okay?

Okay candled last night, out of 12, 2 totally clear threw those out, 9 filled up over 3/4 of the egg and were jumping around. 1 filled up half the egg but was moving. The other eggs are much more developed than this one, what would cause that? Should I expect it to be a quitter?

PS, I can't read a calendar, yes the 30th not the 31st

When do you candle the eggs for the first time? I have heard some people say day 3 others say wait till day 8-9? Only day 2 can't wait to candle tho
