ok newbie question again...

so i put them in the incubator on the 17th so when would lock down be day 18? may 4th or 19? may 5th.

and i am getting more eggs this week to put back in it. do i have to clean it and set it back up or can i leave it going?

Well I candled and out fo 18 am down to 7....2 spitzhaubens and the rest are my BLRW.crossing my fingers these 7 make it to hatching and hatch! One more week to go.

ok i'm officially in lock down. i have 5 speckled sussex and 2 orpington eggs that made it this far. hope everyone else is doing well. i also candled a few of the eggs in my other hatch due the 17th and all that i looked at were developing.

Hi all. Lock down is in two days.

I started with 32 eggs... some were not fertile , etc.

I am down to 14 now.

I have a bad sinus infection fo about a week and last night when I turned them he said he smelled something funky so i checked them this morning.

Pulled this egg.

This one made me sad

I could see the chick in there but no movement.


THE REST OF MY EGGS LOOK LIKE THIS

AND THIS ONE PERPLEXES ME. there is movement in there put in the incubator with the rest but its only half full or so right now.

2 days to lockdown... Caroline

Lockdown is Thursday night for me. Will candle one more time to be sure as I move the turner out and lay the eggs down. (that always scares me...laying them down) But for right now there are 40 eggs and they all are looking really good!!! Keeping my fingers crossed.
