Setting (Again) April 16th-18th...

Snazzyboots you could have some ducks, just tell everyone that they are a new breed of chickens

Ran to see if I had any noise... None - I guess that is good. I am just cutting paper towel roles to make those egg holders. These are mostly shipped eggs so I am pretty anxious.
I just got from spring break and my friend said two of my hens were mean and wouldn't leave their nest. I have no idea what is under them but they were there all week. I guess I see in two weeks!
Excited about the weekend!

I'm doing lockdown tomorrow. Tried not to get my hopes up because of the temperature issues I had, but it would be nice to get some chicks hatching on Mothers Day.

One way or the other I'm taking the thermostat out of this bator and starting work on another design next week.

Good luck on your hatch Delmar.

Lockdown is tomorrow night for me also. THIS time my temps have held good. But then I left the thing alone this time...gee, think that makes a difference? Also moved the bator to a closed off room where the temps are also holding steady. I put some water in at setting and have not had to add any this time either. But we have had rain for two weeks straight!

Looking forward to see what I get this time. DGD's blue eggs all look good. Exciting for her and she will be here this weekend for incubator watch! All the eggs looked good at candling. It is amazing the difference it makes to have a good candler!

Wishing wonderful hatches for all this time!!

My lockdown day is Monday I'm a little behind this time waited for shipped eggs. First batch are so cute and friendly they will be 4 weeks old on Friday and Saturday.

I think lock down is the hardest part of the waiting. I was fine and relaxed the first 18 days but now it is way harder. I keep hearing the birds outside while I'm sleeping and waking up thinking the babies are hatching.
