Setting (Again) April 16th-18th...

Ok that was a long day at work!! I got home to 4 pips and alot of peeping. My eggs are laying down and are pretty tite together is this going to cause problems when they zip and try and push the shell apart or am I being paranoid? If I took the hygrometer out it would alow more room for the eggs to move but I realy dont want to open the bator especially with pips. Any advise would be greatly appreciated thanks

we'll, I think my hatch is about over.. last 2 in the incubator drying. I boxed up 85 chicks and sold them at a local auction tonight, that left me with 19 chicks in the brooder and 2 in the incubator. out of 11 dozen eggs. Not too bad of a hatch rate and the chicks averaged $1.25 a piece...

Two that have pipped. I'm a worry wort to say the least about these. The one that pipped first this morning still hasn't hatched. And one, hasn't pipped at all. Soo hoping to see more progress by morning!

I go into lock down tomorrow, so should have hatching on Monday (while I'm work for 8 hours+ and then off to dog training class). I'm crossing, crossing, crossing my fingers this time it will work. 7 are still doing good thus far, lets hope they make it through the next few days and get pips this time.

P.S. If I get rid of th e"bad" eggs (10 to be exact) is that going to affect my temperature? Should I just leave them in there until lock down is done if there is no threat of a rotten egg or take 'em out tomorrow?

Cuties!

I have a BLRW zipping now...about halfway through. Have another that has been pipped since earlier today, and another one JUST pipped. The one that has been pipped pipped pretty high up on the shell...will that be a problem?
