LOL I hear ya luckily I got the day off when my pipped.. About the only warning I can give about checking on eggs is risk for shrink wrapping just be sure to check quick and keep that humidity from dropping.. They usually start pipping pretty fast with the encouragement. Heck mine were pecking at the eggs that hadn't hatched yet as if to say "Hey come out and play"

Soooo... On my last batch if buttons and tonight is the last night of turning. So before lockdown I have candled. To my surprise, I have one that hatching now! I didn't even see the external pip when I picked it up. But candled and see a lil chick already pipped. Cool, but 3 days early?

My eggs should be hatching today! They are at the school, so I have to check up on them later! Wish me luck!

Hey, better late than never.

No, But I'm trying again this year. I have 3 failed hatches behind me- so four times a charm!!
