9/9 babies hatched!!!! Thanks for asking.

Doesn't it just irk you that the chicks choose to hatch during the few minutes we AREN'T watching? LOL! I'm glad you have a few chicks to cuddle and love on! Also, PICTURES people! I want to see your babies!!!!

Possible dads are silky, cubalaya, and a d'uccle.

Moms could be an Orpington, d'uccle, sebright, rosecomb, and OEG. The two silky crosses (black skin with five toes) came out of an orpington egg so its pretty safe to say they were orp/silkies. The two yellow chicks are Orp/Cubalaya and the little black ones are assorted banties. Oh I love them all!!!

They are Frizzle Cochin.
Won't know if they are frizzle for a few more days.

Oh they are SOOOOO CUTE!

I have a frizzle cochin roo who took months to feather out! His first little wing feathers were long and curved like eyelashes.... super cute. Here he was at 5 days.

I received 18 shipped Silkie eggs and put 3 under my broody hen. The other 15 went into the incubator. A few days before hatching, the hen left the eggs unattended for over 2 hours and they became stone cold!! In a panic, I put them in the incubator with the others. One of the hen's eggs had a hole in the shell at the air bubble end so I figured it was a goner, but no smell so I put it in the incubator the third was a dud. On Friday, the two from under the hen hatched. I am still waiting for the others!! I guess Mother Nature knows what she is doing better than I do!! haha!! This is my first hatch, I will continue to wait on the others.

For those who want to see some fuzzy butts, here goes!! Yay!!
