Setting eggs 3/15/14 - Who is with me?

The movement was the main thing I looked for. I figure that if they're moving, all must be well...

I also marked where the air cells are with a pencil, just so I can keep tabs on those during this next week.

Silly question, but it just slipped my mind at the moment. What should I be looking for on day 14 (Friday for me)? Swimming and the veins getting larger? It's so dark in pretty much all my remaining eggs that I can just barely see the tips of blood veins by the air sac. I may just have a bad candler too but I fashioned a little hole in cardboard for my spot light, which is extremely powerful, and still don't see much.

Its funny because with my eggs from my own chickens, the whole thing lights up with a nice red glow and some of those are dark brown eggs. The only one I cant always see through is the olive colored egg I get.

I suppose I need to take into account the chick blocking most of the light, since he's you know, getting bigger and all

there is day 13 and 15 but no 14.... close enough I guess...
its interesting because the egg looks SO FULL during candle, but seeing this picture, there is actually quite a bit of yolk and growing to do.

Day 14 candle - I could see good veining in all of them, and movement in a few!

feeling very hopeful. the one with the side air cell is still so weird looking. hope she makes it!

i find it strange how my eggs have veining that start at the fat end of the egg and come down to where i can see an embryo?

Lockdown today for my chicken eggs. In the end, only 4 out of 12 shipped eggs have definitely made it this far, 1 more possibly but I'm not to hopeful.
Just need to wait now, the worst part! Will post pictures of hatchlings when they arrive

I have two really saddle shaped ones that are moving around but like you I am felling cautious about them. Wish I had a camera that would take good candling pics.
