I know what you mean. This is my first, but I am very excited and worried. It is a great feeling really. I candled tonight and last night, but not all of them. I am going to wait till I think Friday night before checking them all. I have some that I just can't tell anything yet. I am going to try to get some pics too, good luck everyone.

Let me know how it goes tonight! Fingers crossed for lots of chickies!

I put 20 barnyard eggs in the 17 th and 8 americanas this will be my 4 attempt #1 was 80 in 0 out , #2 was 12 in 0 out
#3 was 14 in 6 out and now this is #4 .

well, of the 12 bantam eggs, it looks like 10 of them are still going strong. of the two, one has a visible blood ring and the other looks scrambled.
and of the 20 barnyard mixes, 6 are olive and my flashlight does not go through. so those will stay. Of the 14 remaining. all looked good except one I was not sure about. I will now leave them be and just turn them for a few days.

Wooohooo! One week down and two weeks to go! I think I am going to wait until Day 18 preparing for lockdown to candle this time. I am going to try to minimize disturbing the conditions in the incubator. We`ll see if I make it past day 14 though....
well ....the real truth is.....I did sneak a little candle of just one egg while hubby was adding water to the incubator. Nice little spiderweb of veins

Hi, i hope you don't mind me jumping on this thread but i set my first eggs on 4/15, i've got 9 eggs in the bator, 6 gold laced cochin and possibly 3 more as extras. Reading these posts helps my nervousness, nice to know i am not alone!!

I wanted to take a video of one of the eggs today, I picked one up and looked at it and I didn't see anymore movement and there looked to be a blood ring in it

I left it in there for now...just in case I was seeing things.
