Fantastic--please keep us posted!Tumbleweed, I found some silkie eggs about 1 1/2 hrs from my place. Four are under my broody hen and 13 in my classroom incubator.

Good luck- we are hoping for pictures of fuzzy butts. How many are you putting in to lockdown?
Question: I just candled some of my classroom silkie eggs (day 5) and I don't see any development. Should I be worried?
You should be able to see something by now if you have a good light source.
It is a decent led flashlight. I don't see any veins. I really hope these aren't duds.
By day 8 you should start seeing movement if there is a baby in there.
And I will be setting 18 into lockdown and 16 more within 2 days after
I often often see movement at 5 days--the lil thing looks like its swimming and bouncing around. Other eggs, especially marans, I don't even bother--can't ever know for sure whats going on with them. I just put em in and see what comes out.
