What kind of incubator did you order? I'm "shopping", so curious what others are having luck with :)

I ordered a Hovabator 1588 in early spring. I love it !!! It basically takes care of itself. I just add water once in a while. Also ordered a Brinsea mini advance about a week ago. ( I am hoping it will curb my tendency to fill up the Hovabator with ALL the eggs it will hold ) I know I am dreaming

. It should arrive at my house today so I will let you know how it works soon. I have 48 eggs in the Hovabator now and 6 are bantam cochin eggs which are going into the Brinsea at day 10 to finish up. Good luck with your search. So excited to hear what you get !!!

So I had 5 hatch out of the 8 I thought were good eggs. They are so cute! One of them is a little week but I am giving it poly vit sol so I think it will be okay. Here are our pictures.

God baby chickens are adorable!!!

And I hope Patman comes back, I haven't set my second group of eggs yet, so people are still welcome to join the thread!! I am impressed that my frankenbator is working and holding temp as well as it is. I loved my little hovabator, and the LG bottom is just so THIN! I'm glad the hovabator bottom works with the LG top XD I keep running into the closet to look at the eggs and they aren't even close! Le sigh... two more weeks!

Mind if I join? I set 23 eggs from cjexotics - mostly silkies with some showgirls as well. They were set on the 13th, and we had a power outage for a couple hours today, so I am hoping all is well.

Of course you can join! I am about 53 hours into my incubation and I want these little Serama to hatch NOOOOOOWWW! Patience is not my best virtue :p The original candling when I got them went wonderfully and they look amazing, especially considering the trip they had to take from North Carolina to Texas

Welcome to the thread, Classic! People are welcome to continue joining this thread :) I'm collecting to set a second batch sometime this week, and they'll be a 28 day hatch so there's a good long time for people to hop in and be buddies! It is such a long wait!

Commence waiting!
