Setting eggs 6/11 and 7/4 - Join me!

I candled my sfh eggs set on the 11th and I only saw six in the twenty but it was only day four so Im hopeing if I wait till day ten I will get a good surprise. I tried to candle my cuckoo maran eggs set the same day but coudnt see anything in the darker brown shells , not as dark as some of the maran eggs but still pretty dark. I will wait till day ten on them to . I have 4 norwigen gowing strong out of the 8 two were clear and two were early deaths. There are also my dozen banty eggs 8-10 serama and the rest something I cant remmber lol and I cant remmber when I set them ether Ill ahve to check the dates

then I have close to 40 eggs , mixes , serama , silkie , chuckar ect on june second, Then I have twenty nine jumbo browns that are on day 16, I dont know for shure when they are sapose to hatch

some people say 16 days some say 17 days and some say 15-18 days

. All I know is that I should have babies soon I am soo excited I hope I get close to the same hatch rate I got from my last batch of chuckars on monday 13 out of 17 total eggs set hatched or 13 out of the 14 eggs that made it to lock down whatever way you want to look at it . I will be stoked with 20 babies but will take anything that hatches out . I can not wait to have pictures to post for you guys .

My Dad just got home with the Brinsea I ordered from Indiana. It looks brand new. Now waiting on day 10 to candle then Im going to move 7 bantam eggs over into it to finish. Hope it works !!!

I want my brinsea back . I orderd a mini eco and it broke befor I even got to use it so I had to send it back to get repaired or exchanged , I really want to try incubateing in it I have heard good things. What kind did you get?

I GOT ALL MY EGGS IN THE MAIL AND I AM READY TO INCUBATE... I WOULD LOVE TO JOIN THIS HATCHALONG...

You have your incubator up and running and holding steady and all that ?
How warm is it where you are and where the eggs come from if its really warm you can rest them in the incubator and just not turn them for a couple days just in case they got to warm.
Other wise its suggested that you let them settle for a day befor starting to incubate them.
Unless your usesing broodies then of course those are pretty mute points right

Im excited for you sounds like a lot of nice eggs

WELL, I AM ACTUALLY NOT SETTING THEM TODAY. GOING TO SET THEM TOMORROW NIGHT. BUT YES mY INCUBATOR HAS BEEN RUNNING FOR ABOUT 4 WEEKS NOW. JUST FINISHED A BAD HATCH. I SET EGGS FROM LARK RISE LAST TIME AND I HAD A BAD POWER OUTAGE THAT KILLED MY WHOLE LOT. I HAD 70 QUAIL EGGS I AND 15 CHICKEN EGGS. I LET THEM COMPLETE THE COURSE AND IT LOOKED AS IF A FEW HAD DEVELOPED, BUT THEY NEVER PIPPED. I GUESS THE POWER WAS OUT TOO LONG AND THEY WERE TOO WEEK. WE SET UP A BATTERY BACK UP FOR THIS tIME... SEEING HOW IT iS NOW HURRICANE SEASON HERE. I WOULD HATE tO LOSE ALL THESE BEAUTIFUL EGGS.

THESE EGGS CAME FROM ALL oVER... IT iS PRETTY wARM HERE..YOU THINK I CAN sTICK THEM IN THE BATOR TONIGHT THEN...

Who ever set up the circtry / temp control on the mini was on magic mushrooms but aside from that I think it looks like the brinsea ones will be real nice to work with but I wont know for shur tell I get mine back and hatch a few batches. Give me a nice exscuse to hatch all year , have to work the kinks out of my new bator right.

*bounces* I got impatient and candled my babies set on the 13th. I see 11 starting! I was VEEEERRRRYYYY gentle with them and turned them REEEAAAALLLYYY slowly and softly. This is great news! will candle them again in a couple days to see if the others which look clear show anything. I have 11 of 16 growing so far ^..^ I am super super happy!!!
