Setting eggs, anyone want to join me? Hatch-Along

So now I have one that has an external pip but not much peeping or anything. Not sure how long ago it did it. And the one that has pipped internally is still peeping and making noise but no external pip yet. Should I make a tiny hole for it or just try and wait it out. It's very loud when it peeps.

From one experient I had I would put a pin hole for air, I had one do that and I left the house for the day thinking it would hatch and I would have a surprise when I got home ,,,,He never made a hole for air and died

Ahhhh. Day 24 and nothing out of my "single survivor egg".

My 14 eggs aren't doing well either. Only about 5 are developing. I also just set 2 eggs from my OEGB and White D'uccle pullets, so, we'll see what happens.

Good luck with your eggs! I have never tried this but i'll be reading all the posts here to see if something i'd like to try eventually.

Day 20!
I'm SO excited Hopefully I'll have at least one early riser. For some reason it always makes me feel better if one hatches early. But, since I really want these eggs to hatch, they'll probably wait and hatch late or something

Is it wrong that I've already started collecting eggs for my next hatch? I'm blaming it on my neighbor. She stopped by the other day and saw the bator was out and asked if I'd hatch some eggs from her EEs. Uh- yea, just give me a few days to get some more Silkie eggs together. DUH!

One has finally come out!! I had to help it. It was internally pipped for 24+ hours. I very very carefully took off some if the shell and then let it do the rest. Now the little one is resting.
