Setting eggs August 2 -- anyone else?

5 out of 6 of my eggs hatched! Fluffy little baby orpingtons :)

so my first eventually had to be helped i guess my humidity must have been low during incubation large air cell and stuck to the membrane poor thing anyway its out now still wobbling around the bator but very active little thing still has some sticky yuck stuck to him but i just left it not sure about bothering him dont want to stress him anymore . the other still has a large hole and has been resting a few hours so hopefully by moring ill have two hopefully.

I don't know why you feel every chick you hatch is a girl or if you're looking at them right. What are you looking at when you feel this way?



I just spent a long day at the county fair with my family. Came home with two bunnies.

For now, I have a pic I took a couple of days ago of a bunch of the chicks, but don't have any specific ones of those crosses yet -- will have to get some tomorrow.

well i woke this morning to find that my othe baby has died so heartbroken this has been the most awful hatch started w 11 ended up w 2 going into lockdown and only one made it that had to be assited or wouldnt have. gonna have to figure out the kinks before i try again.

however my one that is ok it still hasnt fluffed to good from being covered in membrane so not sure about moving to brooder what should i do can i clean him wout hurting him someway?
