setting eggs by the moons sign

he put a add on gumtree on thursday night and all sold by saturday afternoon. i told my son we need to keep about half from the 2nd hatch , as need to build up females, once we have built up a good breeding stock, i will set only eggs that are 12-13grams plus eggs only. our goal is the hatch large/jumbo jap quails, with the six females i have left, im getting 2-3, 12-13 gram eggs per day,
rest of eggs are ranging from 9-11grams.

Thats a good thought Sam. I had not even thought of egg size. My main goal with the quails will be snake food for our 9ft python but not all will become food some will be breeders and some just eye candy :lol. Will weigh mine as they start to lay to see what sizes I am getting.
