Setting Eggs on 2/26 (now with pictures)

I candeled yesterday. 6 OEGB good, All the Bantam Cochin are good, EE good, not sure about the Wellsummer. Wyandottes, no good.

Wow, that's a bummer, one out of 15! I know how you feel. I candled again today and I do only have 9 fertile. All from the same two hens, none from the other two. Guess I know who the roo favors now.

I will have to lock him up with the hens I want eggs from next time. We live and learn.

yeah, these eggs were given to me for my kids 4h project. I was really suprised only 1 egg was fertile out of 15..glad he brought me 15 instead of the original 10 I had said.

24 BBS, Ameraucana eggs in my trusty old homemade incubator. This is our fourth hatch this winter for the first time just moved into Kodak 10 the chicken coop, so we have a few rooms!

????????? Why is there a link to printer cartridges in the middle of this post??? Very weird. Even weirder is it looks like they copied one of my ealier posts from this thread. Someone plagerized some of my best work! I think something foul or fowl is a foot.


On a happy note I ordered a real incubator today! The Hovabator Genesis with an autoturner!!

I will be able to set twice as many eggs and not have to watch them constantly!!! Set 'em and forget 'em, so to speak! Freedom from my obsession!
