Setting eggs on 7/15/2011 anyone want to join me

I have a chick!! I now have one solid blue marans! I don't think anything else is gonna hatch but I am thrilled with our little chick.

ETA: OK, I went back and read that you set your Marans eggs on 7/10.....hang in there, some others may hatch!!!

Once I had a cuckoo marans egg that didn't seem like it was going to hatch, but I left it in the hatcher anyway and it did hatch a day later.

Oh my gosh I am SUCH a dork. That is the second time I have done that. Posted on this thread that I subscribed to because of my B/B/S ameraucana eggs, NOT my marans eggs. Dang did I even join a thread for the marans eggs?? lol..

Ok back on subject... my BBS ameraucana eggs are going into lock down tomorrow! yay!! Just cleared out the hatcher and put new liner down... getting humidity and temps all settled down and I will lockdown eggs tomorrow... for my friday hatch date. This will be my third try at hatching. Come on baby chicks! lol

Ok... let me just make sure this is the correct thread... ok yeah
I moved my BBS ameraucana eggs to the hatcher today. 6 eggs made the cut. They were so dark I really could not see any movement. Not 5 minutes after I set them in there I saw wiggles! Not the imaginary kind I usually see when I am wishing and hoping there is life in those eggs. But real unmistakable wiggling! I saw 3 eggs wiggle out of the 6. The other 3 could be good but just not wiggling as much. Gosh I just hope they stay alive and make it out of those lil eggs. So far my record is only one chick hatching per batch. So... if I get three chicks to hatch that will blow away my previous record!

These eggs have looked better from day one than any others I have had. Tiny, tight air cells even after traveling a bazillion miles to get to me.

Ohmy gosh 5 of the 6 are wiggling for sure! I swear it is not the imaginary wiggling! I called my husband but he doesn't believe me. lol! Can't blame him.
