Setting Eggs on April 24th!!!! Who wants to hatch along w/me???

Just thought about this. I have two batches of eggs from two different ebay sellers. Bought 12+ from breeder and 6 from small family farm.
Out of my candling results..every egg from the family farm is viable, despite cross country shipping(OR to LA). The breeder eggs were the ones that were with blood rings, and a few infertile.

Just found this interesting, and hoping I did not mess some of them up and cause the blood rings.

It's hard to know how much PO played a roll in the shipping eggs.

For instance 3 of my 5 polish had detached air cells, and never developed, so I am thinking that the PO was very hard on that package.

I know the feeling on the welsummers - we have 4 and cannot see ANYTHING, so nerve wrecking. I am so impatient... why can't it be day 10 already for the hovabator eggs?? BUT - all 4 dancing rocks (BRs) are going strong and we go into lock down friday!!

I know its getting closer and closer! Question is, are you ready for your chickies??? I have 2 in the brooder that I hope will be ready to move out in just 10 days? Yikes.

I know how you feel, we are a bit behind on the coop building here.

I am sooo mad at myself...after I did candle, I had a few that were looking a bit under developed. So I re checked them, and whooops....yees dropped one

I repaired the cracks with wax and stuck it back in hoping for the best

Not really seeing movement...
The only saving grace I have is it was iffy looking last night, so maybe it was just a quitter.

I have to say, waiting to candle at day 10 made it easy for me the newbie to see the differences.

I have a 8' rabbit hutch that is actually 2, 4' foot cages. My babies from 3 wks ago are on 1 side, they are getting ready to be put in their own pen and then the new babies will go in the hutch !!!!!

CAN'T WAIT!

That's a great idea to use a rabbit hutch. So far we have 1 large 2 1/2X9 ft brooder. It's really hot here in Texas already so I am thinking my 4 weekers will be good to go outside in the larger coop that has a heat lamp if needed.

Well, I just could not resist...I rechecked the cracked egg....I see movement!!! YEA!!!!!!!!!!!

My wax is holding pretty good, and I am so relieved and surprised to see it survive the fall.

I hope all is well!!!
