Setting Eggs On March 7, anyone else??

I will be putting in 41. As for breeds, they are all barnyard brats....We raise our chickens for eggs and meat so at this time I don't have a specific breed I am hatching. I need to get another rooster before I can do some of that. But these girls have been laying really well for us so I figured I needed some more....!!
Good luck on your hatch, its addicting, reaaalllllyyyyy addicting!!

Funny how "chicken math" works, the more eggs your chickens lay the more chickens you need!

I am aware of the addicting part, I just started hatching (first hatch in January) and I already have a second incubator and I also have orders for chicks that haven't even hatched yet. Time to start saving for a Sportsman!

I put 17 eggs in the incubator today: 6 Blue Ameraucana Bantam, 4 Black Rosecomb, 5 Silkie-X project eggs, and 2 EEs. Got 25 due to go into the hatcher a week from today; they are my first batch of this year. I have chick fever so bad that I bought some Silkies at TSC and they are growing nicely. Good luck to everyone!

Set 14 barnyard mix at 4:00pm today. This is my first batch in my homemade bator.

My son and I found a 72qt chest on the side of the road and made a quick U-turn. Now, affectionally known as the "roadkill" bator.

Looks like there'll be a few of us.

for those who have hatched before..how critical is it to keep humidity stable days 1-18 and the 18-21? my incubator temp is pretty steady(thermostat controlled and cycles). This is my first hatch and I am constantly checking temp and humidity(without opening the lid) and temp is steady but the humidity is wonky (31% to 80%). Its making a nervous wreck..Help!!! lol
