Setting Eggs on the 30th in Springfield, IL

about 12 hours after the 21 day mark passed, they started popping like popcorn and didn't stop until this morning around 5am. About one an hour for 10 hours. I still have 24 in the bator, but we have had little to no action on any of them, but I will give it another 36-48 hours.

Lots of pics tonight!

I keep checking with the wife to see if there has been any more action and it looks like we are going to go for 10 for 35 on our first try.

Next time I will use a different room. I will get the bator up off the ground so to have better air flow. I will set it at 101.5 not 99.5 as it is a still air. I will get a better system for checking the humidity. I will candle better than I did the first round and remove the non-active eggs.

Hopefully we will have a double in eggs next round. Maybe 25 for 41?

Pics will come tonight! All 10 will be in the brooder.

There are some pics now that 10 of them are in the brooder.

any ideas on these mixes?

So what was your final count??? I love the little yellow one with the black dot in the middle of it's back. That's my favorite.

Are you going to set another batch now?

I think I was being crazy when I thought I saw an egg move. I must have bumped the table because there hasn't been any other sign of life in there. And it's day 21. So I think I must have lost them all when the incubator fan went out. I'm definitely going to leave them in there though for a couple more days. Hopefully when I wake up in the morning something will have happened!
