Yay chicks!

I'm so happy for the good news... I need some. The fan in my incubator died on me last night and I didn't notice until late this morning. I'm on day 19 now and all the eggs were cold to the touch... I think I probably lost them all. I got the fan going again and figure I might as well leave them for the next few days to see if any of them made it through by some miracle, but it's not looking good for them. I'm having a terrible first hatch! Luckily these were all my own eggs so it wasn't a huge loss money-wise... but I still feel terrible about all those little chicks that died in there last night... and I was so looking forward to seeing them hatch in a couple of days...

he/she is making a racket and others are wanting to join him now!

the house is alive with many noises of the hatching chicks!

The first is 4 hours old and 6-7 other eggs have been pecked open.

he/she is a fluffy yellow now and almost ready for the brooder

two in the brooder, a third has hatched and about 6-8 in the process! Having a great day!

What is this? Mix? Barred Rock? Black Sex-Link Mix?

2 in the brooder, 4 in the bator and 2 more cracked and coming out. 8 of 36 so far.....hoping for 20 anything over would be amazing, but less than 12 would be sad. Right now, the thought of going to bed is out of the question!

4 in the brooder, 4 hatched in the bator, another 27 or 28 to go? Some are cracking? Lots of cherping....trying to go to bed now
