Has anyone ever done an autopsy on day 24 and found a live chick?

Well, I candled my eggs tonight and two had very large air sacs, and none had any movement. I opened the eggs (very carefuly) and there were four dead chicks.

I cleaned out the bator and started my next set due to hatch March 1st, my wifes Birthday!

How many eggs did you start with? 9
How many were shipped-yours? All from my flock
How many losses to blood rings? 3
How many losses to clear eggs? 0
what day they started pipping? First pip was at the beginning of day 20
How many days until the final baby was hatched? End of day day 21
How many made it to the end -pipped then passed? None (but I DID help one a bit)
How many live chicks are present and accounted for? 2

I'm glad I opened the eggs. Thankfully only 1 smelled bad, my poor DH opened that one. I was surprised that 10 eggs were clear. Could that have happened because they were shipped, but I couldn't find a bull's eye.
So if I exclude the clear eggs my hatch rate was Marans 5 out of 6, and silkies 7 out of 11.
