1 pipped last night late. Chirped all night. No progess yet when I left for work. 2 more had pipped by this morning, One had knocked about a 3/8 inche hole on it's shell. I am a bit worried that I may have kept it a little to dry. the eggs looked good when I locked down, but the Blue Coppers that I pitched were only about 3/4 full or may be a bit less. 1 had a very small chick, that stopped long ago. Rest looked like eggs that you eat. No blood, no smell. May not have been fertile, or or scrambled in shipping. My temps. may have been a bit high as I am a day early, maybe a bit more. I was trying to keep them dry the first 18 days. Put in about 1 once of water a day. with humidity from 50 to 25 percent. Since lock down. it has been 72 to 75. My temp is steady, but may have been closer to 100.2 than 99.5 forced air homeade bator the first part. We will see. I am will get some more eggs, and try again, if I fail this time. I am a brute for punishment I guess. I work full time, and am busy lambing about 50 momma sheep right now as well. Who needs sleep?. I am tired of snow, with about 40 plus inches and more in the forcast for the weekend, winter can stop any time. DW took clothes to work again, as she may spend the night again ,if weather looks bad. 35 mile drive one way, She works at a hospital, so no close early or excused time there. I only have to drive 25 miles and if we close , I get paid anyway, so I will always make it home. I can hardly wait to get home tonight. Its like christmas every day,at our house this time of year.

Good morning everybody! It's Alex. Meet........ Buffy!
She hatched last night! Today is day 21 and I hope some of the other 3 eggs will hatch. There isn't any peeping or wiggling but I am hoping anyway.

This is Buffy meeting Peanut. Peanut worries about all the chicks.

Here's 2 BLRW chicks.........

And 1 d'uccle chick...........

I woke up to 18 CHICKS this morning!!! 100% of my BLRWs that went into lockdown hatched, I'm not so sure about one of them, it's really small, it was the last one to hatch...maybe after it rests a bit it won't seem so weak.

And there is 1 d'uccle egg that hasn't done anything, and the last one was the first one to pip 2 days ago, I can't believe the little guy is still alive in there, but he is...
