this hatch is killing me-woke up to one baby White orp..eggs still pipped and nothing else:-( I do see a few small cracks in other eggs that werent when I went to bed. FBCM still pipped and now 1 Amaracauna is pipped...day 22 today and still 21 out of 23 eggs to go...
I did not use my incubator for this one, but instead an very stubborn Silkie named Cleo. She has 5 standard eggs (3 BO, 1 BR and 1 RIR) under her. As of last night, she had pips. Can not wait to go to the barn and see what she has for us this morning.
Its the beginning of day 21 for me. Late last night I thought I heard a chirp, or maybe I just wanted to hear it. But everything was quiet this morning, too quiet. I wish I knew what I did wrong. I haven't seen any movement. My regular feed store won't have chick starter for another 2 weeks - bad omen. Well there's still time. I'm at work. Maybe I'll have a surprise at 6pm when I get home. It could happen.

Hopefully you'll have something happening by the time you get home! I have nothing yet on my egg. I'm going to wait a bit longer then will check it. It was moving a bit the other day and nothing now

The Red Barn in Middletown. A cash only store. There prices are good when you buy 50lbs bags, $11 each for layer feed. They had a small bag of chick starter - 8lbs for $8. My DH gets it when he drops my daughter off at OCCC. They usually have coupons in the paper, but I haven't been to good at cutting them out.

Good to know another place that does carry it. B&G pet supply, walden animal deli, and Tractor supply in highland all have chick starter/ grower. If you are in a pinch. I always like to see which place has the best prices.
