Thinking I will next time. Not finding a lot of the chicks I want locally though.

You can always look here on BYC and see what eggs people are offering. You would probably get better eggs from good quality chickens.

I will be setting 12+ Heritage RIR eggs either Wednesday or Thursday. This will more then likely be my last hatch for the year. Chicken math is starting to take over and I am reaching my limits. Brook - you're AWESOME at this, I love that you've put it all on the 1st page. Yay!!! OK - Day 7 candling is 10/11 = heartbeat and movement. Progressing well. Unfortunately the only clear one is my single (most prized) Delaware egg . But I refuse to take it out yet. Im gonna wait till day 14. Will update on Super blues when I candle on Saturday

I will try the experiment. I am in Washington...is that far enough? I got one set of eggs yesterday and hope to get next batch today so want to put them all in incubator soon.

hubby would be shocked if i got more eggs...sorry maybe next time around.

I spoke with My Pet Chicken about the broken eggs this morning. They told me if I don't get a viable hatch, they will refund/replace the eggs. If I do, they will refund the 4 broken eggs.

That would be super cool if we could of got some of your eggs deliverd the problem is we would problerly receive chicks rather than eggs
