So I can only tell on myself to everyone here...

I set my eggs in the bator at 7pm...

I look at the clock, it's 9pm...

I think, "OMG YAY!!! 2 HOURS DOWN ALREADY!!!!"

Hahahaha 2 hours? Really?!?!?!? I've Already lost it

Had a bit of a scare yesterday, when our broody hen was leaving her separate hutch she knocked a few of the eggs out of the nest! Since it's floor level they just rolled a little, but I'll candle the eggs later tonight and see how they're going. Hopefully they're doing good!

And just wait until its hatch day, 1stTimeChikMama! Then you'll be counting down the minutes, especially when they've pipped xD Its always best when they pip overnight and you come out to a new chick!

OK - Day 7 candling is 10/11 = heartbeat and movement. Progressing well. Unfortunately the only clear one is my single (most prized) Delaware egg :(. But I refuse to take it out yet. Im gonna wait till day 14.
Will update on Super blues when I candle on Saturday :)

DAY 14 (Barnyard mix) - All 10 growing, looking good. Chucked the Delaware :(

DAY 11 ?(Super Blues) - after day 7 I threw out four which were not viable. All 12 growing so well. I love these eggs coz candling is so fun - you can see right through

So I have a total of 22 eggs in bator doing well on Days. 11 & 14
 
yes i have a separate hatcher ready on a nearby table. my d'uccle eggs (2 eggs) hatch first (oct 11), then the duck eggs will. as a matter of fact lockdown will be next week!!!!

for the chick eggs. the ducks i have will be the week after (i think, not looking at my calender).

. then after those will be another batch of d'uccle eggs, then another batch of duck eggs and ending up with 3 d'uccle eggs that i put in the incubator yesterday evening....
