Yes the humidity will rise up but that is when they are hatching. The moisture from the chick and egg makes it go up. I will raise it a little bit when they start to pip to keep the membrane moist but you have to be careful not to raise it too much because the unpipped eggs may get too much moisture and drown.

here are my chicks...there are 6 so far that I have seen although she still hasn't got up yet...

None of my hens have ever gone broody except maybe for a 1/2 hour if you call it that but i never get tired of seeing these babies on others pics peaking out from under the broody. Its just the cutest thing ever!

Marinecorp...wow...that is a lot of chickies....

I was late this morning as I was watching the chicks with the momma...all 6 were out and eating and I was not sure if there was still any underneath her? so two other eggs still under there or they are hiding....i have never had a momma hen and chicks and I am mezmorized....

It's a deal! I may have white ameracaunas too. I think I have figured out a better way to pack the eggs. I am going to try to putting them in these containers and taping it together with painters tape. Then putting the eggs in the middle of the box surrounded by shredded paper or peanuts...whatever I have around the house. What do you think?

That is a BRILLIANT idea!!!
