Think I might buy some hatching eggs soon so I can hatch out different varieties than australorps lol

Nice! Welcome aboard, what inccubator are you using? Once you start to buy other breeds and fancy hatching eggs, you'll be addicted, trust me!

It's like crack, at least eggs are healthy, chickens make you laugh and it doesnt make your teeth and hair fall out. I think I've hatched over 150 chicks this year already... probably 300 or so by September...

Very true! You sound like my neighbor lol He hatches out two huge Incubators over and over. I just bought some RIR's from him recently I think I may have hatched out 50 or so? Not nearly as much as you but I'm getting there!

Only had to cull three eggs! All the others looked great...I set my other incubator on Saturday and had 8 extras, 3 went into the three free spaces and the extra five eggs are being hand-turned... I think I'm going to order two more incubators this week...I ordered three dozen Swedish flower hen eggs for the end of the month... chicks are a great way to make tuition money!

Tomorrow night is lockdown for me! I haven't had to cull any since day 7, some are very thick shelled though, so it's hard to see whats going on, air cells and weight look good. 39 eggs nearly ready to hatch... here we go!
