i'm a little late getting in on this thread. i set 40 barnyard mix eggs on 4/1/12 candled on 4/11/12 and had 4 not developing.
now here is my question. my grandpa always told me that thunder would kill chicks in eggs if they were not on the ground. this was for under hens that if they set in a box and not on the floor or ground that the chicks would die in the eggs. has any one ever heard this or know if they may just be a wives tell? hope it isn't since we are having so real storms out here today.
