Setting eggs today 4/1/12 Anyone else?

I had to help a chick out earlier this year that was shrink wrapped! I didn't know it would take that long to get it out of the shell! I made the mistake of wearing my long sleeved and pant flannel pajamas in the bathroom to help! I got so hot and sweated so much while helping that chick out!

I'm up to 7 chicks now and number 8 is almost out of its shell! Every single egg has a pip and/or zipping! I am so excited! If all of these babies hatch and do well it will be my first ever 100% hatch!!! Its been a very eventful day here! I thought it was going to be a slow, laid back Sunday because the eggs were due to hatch tomorrow but I guess they had other plans!!

My #6 is doing better and getting along well, had to pinch off the shell it was dragging around. It was all dried up just hanging on and the little one was getting tired dragging that thing around.

I have two of my silkies pipping right now, they are so small compared to my others...

8 chicks now and number 9 is almost out!! This is so awesome! So far its the best hatch ever! I'm hoping to get all 12 hatched because every egg has pipped! I probably won't move them to the brooder until the morning though. I think I'm going to stay up tonight and finish watching them hatch out! My husband is picking on me and calling me the chicken whisperer because I keep going back to the incubator and looking in like a little kid waiting on Santa to come!!! He thinks its funny! I'm waiting for "Once Upon a Time" to come on and know at every commercial break I'll be running over to the incubator!

Today is only day 20 for me. I woke up to one chick but no other pips. I now have one more pip but 18 other eggs in the bator with no signs of anything. I hope they start soon.

This is day 18 or 19 and I've had one come early! It's alive and peeping under momma as best it can. Little thing is so stinking cute, I can't handle it. I'm so thrilled we did the broody hen way, it's so cool to see momma protecting the babies.

7 of 11 out and 2 more working on it....My first hatch and I am quite impressed with the success....My temp has stayed 99-100...We had a humidity drop on the second day of lockdown....we only could get it up to 55ish....but they have hatched easily....Hope everyone elses continue to go well...

So, if i'm setting today, i don't count it as day one until tomorrow, right? So i don't turn the eggs, just place them in the incubator ?

Well, my hatch is officially done, with 5/9 that went into lock down hatched. I carefully cracked into the other 4 eggs at the air cell and every one of them was dead. Two were clearly shrink-wrapped, and the other two looked like they might have been too, although the membranes weren't the opaque white that the other two were. One of them looked like it may have pipped internally, but just barely.
