Setting eggs today 5/31/11

I had to move my brooder today out into the living room of all places (can't wait to get the barn finished so they can have their own room lol.) so that I could reset my incubator for round 2 which will be loaded on Wednesday. The funny thing is that they love watching everyone walk by their little house and they will actually get quite loud if we haven't been near them for a bit. Hopefully they will still sleep for the night because DH won't be happy if they are up talking all night because they want company lol.

Just candled tonight.I know 5 of the six are alive...not 100 % on the sixth.As you know,I foolishly did not write down the day I put them in but according to my posts on this thread it was the sixth.So that puts me right where I thought with hatching anywhere from the 2nd to the 5th.I'm surprised at how crowded they look in there...I can't believe they will be in there another week!

all my broody silkies hatched chicks....
we have a hen with 3, and 2 hens with 4 chicks.


love it they are soooo cute.. they are bringing them outside and wandering in the run.. adorable!

my 4th broody, wont let the chicks hatch, every time they pip, she kills the chicks.. so i pulled her 6 and put them in the bator, have 3 hatched and 3 more to go. yay! lol

Thank you...I am so nervous because of what happened last time...but this time I have kept good temps...rh has been between 50-60 percent...tomorrow I bump it up to 80 according to what everyone has said for ducklings.I know all are alive so far....so I am afraid of what's gonna happen next

If it doesn't work....I'm gonna pray a duck goes broody!

I just posted another thread...one of my eggs pipped already...day 25 so I am freaking out nervous! I hope I can get the RH right....
