We have a pip too!!!!! I am so excited. It is just a tiny little one, but it is there. I dont know how much I will sleep, this is sooooo exciting.

I am so sorry to hear about your experience. If it's any consolation I have heard that many people aren't lucky their first time hatching
But I can easily imagine how sad you feel, as I have been on an emotional roller coaster since setting these chicks.

We now have one chick hatched, none of the other 15 are pipped yet, and I now find myself in a battle with fluctuating temps and low humidity! If we don't have any more hatch I'll have to buy him a buddy at the store.

nathan and lindsay- Yes you have a chick hatched, you must post pictures. I am sure the rest are right behind.

I am still in the nothing is happening category, I so want them to start pipping but when I check this morning, nothing nada. But after all their 21 days is Monday so I am not losing hope, just wish it would start already.

Ok, quick question: how do I post a photo. I clicked the (Img) button, and got some weird text that I don't know what to do with. Any help is appreciated.

He is a black australorp. I have 12 of those eggs and 2 australorp/white leghorn crosses.

I am worried. I wonder if my humidity has been too low all along. Or maybe the little birds are just too big for their eggs. They all seem to be pipping, but not able to zip and their membranes appear very white and dry. Should I be helping? watching? going out and leaving them to do their thing?
