Setting Eggs today!! (May 2nd) Anyone else?

AWE! so cute!

I had one hatch over night. Still waiting on over 30 eggs! They need to get moving!!

I think I am all done. Ended with 20 out of 36 but six of those are staying in. They are Guinea hens due on Tuesday. So for my first hatch not so bad. The 21st chick needed help out of his shell, but died shortly after. The kids in school have been so excited to go through this process.

more of mine have started pipping! I think at least 2 have hatched- from what I can hear from the outside. Im going to take a peak inside later tonight!

4 hatched! All light sussex, i believe one of my welsummer's has pipped. but no action from my ameraucana's or dorkings AHHHh

What was the final results of everyone's hatch? Believe it or not mine are still hatching..I don't have much hope for these late pip'ers .. but i had 3 hatch yesterday on day 24.. In total right now i have 10 light sussex and 2 dorkings

I ended up setting 10 total and I have 6 babies...I think that is a decent hatch rate.

I started with 23 eggs, 18 hatched, 1 died within an hour and 1 we had to put down due to a hip problem. I had a 78% hatch rate. Not my best, but not my worst either.

Hey all,
Has anyones chicks from the hatch started laying!? Two of my light sussex hens have just started in the past 2 days ( WEEK 22)!
