setting eggs tomorrow.... 3-21-12 who wants to join?

hello.....my black sex link/jersey giant are finally hatching.....

....that zipping is taking forever.....ok...got 2 chicks out and 16 more to go ....we have pipping and zipping....hopefully we'll be done by tomorrow.....seems to be another long night for me.....it's been crazy, waiting for my "Jersey Sex" and my fridge bator going wild.......

Sorry I still haven't taken a picture of my set-up, I was called out to work and just got back last night.

I did get to candle though, and 5 out of 6 eggs are developing nicely, I suppose the other was a dud, but I will give it more time just in case.

Has anyone else candled yet?

I haven't done any candling yet. I will probably wait until day 8 or 10....somewhere in there.

So far, so good though. Since the weather has warmed, humidity outside is up, and with the heat not running inside the house, humidity inside is up too. Therefore, I haven't even added any water to the incubator at all thus far. Humidity has been in the upper 20s to mid 30s.

Candling? I don't know how to candle It sounds easy and I have tried it before but I just couldn't see anything inside.

Do you have a strong enough flashlight, kuntrygirl? A really strong LED is really necessary. Also, some eggs are easier to see into than others. I have almost no luck candling EE or Marans eggs. Wyandotte or white eggs are really easy.

I have a Maglite Flashlight. Is this flashlight strong enough?
